Snowdrops

Galanthus, commonly known as snowdrops, are among the earliest flowers to appear each year, often emerging through frozen ground while the rest of the garden still sleeps. Their nodding white blooms, each with a delicate green mark, hang above slender grey‑green leaves and bring a quiet brightness to late winter. Hardy, long‑lived, and happy in partial shade, they naturalise beautifully in borders, woodland edges, and grassy areas, creating graceful drifts that return reliably every season.
