I grow doubles both in pots or the garden. They do need sun, around half a day but don’t worry if the sun disappears late afternoon! If growing in the garden I plant them with 6 inches of soil on top of the bulb and in groups 3 inches apart, this help them stand up better in the wind. Planting guide
